This Privacy Policy explains how badger, a product of Badger Service SA ("we", "us"), handles personal data collected through our waitlist at this website. We are the data controller for this data. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@badgercards.ch.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect only:
- Your email address;
- The date and time you signed up and confirmed;
- A record that you gave consent.
We do not collect names, IP-based profiles, or use advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
Why we use it & legal basis
We use your email solely to (a) send a confirmation link (double opt-in) and (b) send occasional updates about badger and notify you when early access is available. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Where your data is stored & who processes it
Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the Zurich, Switzerland (europe-west6) region. We rely on the following processors:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — database hosting (Switzerland);
- Resend — sending confirmation and update emails;
- Vercel — website and serverless function hosting.
Where any processor transfers data outside Switzerland/the EEA, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist is no longer needed — whichever comes first.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@badgercards.ch and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local EU data protection authority.
Unsubscribing
Every update email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list and withdraws your consent for further emails.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
